Acura ILX Racing Car Tuning

The Japanese company has made of Acura luxury four-door sedan model known as ILX – a true racing car, but it is not quite a 100% race cars. Most probably this new novelty draws on a qualitative work, exposing all nodes of Acura ILX transformation. Such a model was officially shown at CES in Las Vegas. In adapting the luxury family car to the race track, Honda designers did not focus on increasing productivity, and the optimization of vehicle weight. Engineers were able to reduce the overall weight of the car by quite stunning 1100 kg with the pilot in the cockpit.

The vehicle has a native 4-cylinder 2.4-liter engine that can produce 201 hp. It is also equipped with a cold air intake manifold and sports exhaust system. Additionally to the loss of weight and in order to help ensure better control the racing suspension H & R, and a reinforced link rear suspension, high performance brakes and updated beam bearings were added.

Car is equipped with a large, black Enkei wheels measuring 18 inches that “shod” in the low-profile tires of BF Goodrich R1. Improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the machine called a fresh kit, which provides ILX real racing look.
